From the employer

Who we are

Atoms is building the machines that power the next era of progress.

Over the last decade, software has transformed the digital world. But the physical world, where food is made, minerals are mined, goods are moved, and industries are run, remains far less intelligent, far less efficient, and far more constrained. We’re changing that.

Atoms builds Physical AI— real-world robots for the industries that move civilization forward, starting with food, mining, and transport. Our systems are designed to understand, predict, and control the real world with precision, turning complex physical operations into something more reliable, more scalable, and more productive.

This work requires more than robotics. It requires deep integration across hardware, software, AI, operations, manufacturing, and real estate. We don’t just build machines in a lab. We deploy them into real environments, operate them, learn from them, and improve them until they work at scale.

We are roboticists, engineers, operators, and builders. We believe the next great technology companies will not only transform information, but the physical systems that shape everyday life.

If you want to work on hard problems with real-world impact, join us.

What you'll do

  • Build the function: Stand up employee experience at Atoms. Set the strategy and roadmap across onboarding, engagement, internal communications and learning.
  • Own the new hire experience: Own the new hire orientation experience, in person and virtual, tailored by business unit. Build the communications, resources and 90-day toolkits that set new hires and their managers up to succeed.
  • Lead engagement and events: Oversee global all-hands, anniversary events, new hire Q&As with leadership, and a monthly in-person event series, plus internal content that shares what each business is building.
  • Set the internal voice: Own communications strategy and writing for company-wide announcements, all-hands, and recurring programs such as performance reviews and promotions.
  • Lead change communications: Build the communication plans behind organizational changes, program changes and the integration of newly acquired teams.
  • Launch learning: Build and expand on Atoms' learning programs, starting with training for frontline managers.
  • Measure what works: Use data such as engagement, onboarding ramp and attrition to decide where to invest and to show impact.
  • Build and lead the team: Hire and develop a small team across onboarding, engagement, communications and learning. Partner closely with HR Business Partners and Workplace.

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years in employee experience, internal communications or related people programs, including 3+ years managing a team.
  • You've built programs from scratch with a lean team, and you're as comfortable doing the work yourself as setting the strategy.
  • You're an excellent writer who has owned internal communications for a company, including executive and change communications.
  • You've run onboarding and engagement for in-person teams across multiple offices at a company hiring at high volume. Global experience is a plus.
  • You hold a high bar, move quickly and stay hands-on.
