What you'll do
- Develop and put the country’s HR policy into practice, applying HR methods and anticipating workforce needs from program activity
- Keep mission policies and procedures comprehensive, and check that they meet local labor-law requirements
- Run payroll and benefits administration for the mission
- Help recruit national and expatriate employees, and identify staff learning and development needs
What you bring
- A bachelor’s degree in humanitarian studies, management, psychology, sociology or a related area
- At least three years of HR work in an international NGO setting
- Humanitarian field experience, preferably serving on a country management team
- Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written; Hausa is an advantage

Action Against Hunger (ACF)-USA is part of the ACF-international Network which works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.
To be responsible for developing and implementing the country HR policy. Applying best HR practices and monitoring program activity to anticipate future HR needs.
To ensure the mission implements comprehensive HR policies and procedures, and remains compliant with local labor laws.
To oversee payroll and benefits administration for the mission. Supports the mission’s recruitment of national and expatriate staff.
Identifies and monitors staff training, development and learning needs.
Bachelors in Humanitarian, Management, Psychology, Sociology or related field. Humanitarian field experience, preferably as a member of country management team.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience as an HR professional in international NGO context.
Experience communicating in different cultural work environment and with a wide diversity of culture.
Good communicator. Verbal and written in English (Hausa will be a plus).
